Since the manufacturer of the previous terminals no longer offered new devices, a new solution was developed that continues to work with the existing Firebird SQL database. The new application was implemented with .NET C# and WPF.
I evaluated new hardware solutions to enable chip-based login. The new WPF interface is aligned with the corporate design and allows for intuitive operation. Employees can log in and out, book orders, and view their own performance data.
By using Windows terminals, the solution became future-proof and independent of proprietary hardware.
