In 2018, a compact LED headlight was developed to replace traditional H4/H7 bulbs. An adjustment robot takes over the precise assembly.
LED boards and primary optics are supplied via a carrier system. A linear axis and two Stäubli robots handle the components.
Before assembly, optical and confocal measurements are taken. If all values match, the robots synchronously assemble the unit.
I was responsible for the robot programming. Using standard parts and measurement data, exact joining positions were calculated. The robots operate faster and more precisely than the previous generation.
